I will NEVER use this company again! The only reason I did was because they were recommended to my by a trusted vendor.
First of all, the driver got lost and was late picking up my group. Now, I use to drive limousines in college. That was almost 20 years ago. I could get anywhere in the country with a Thomas Guide and a roll of quarters. This is the age of Google Maps and GPS. There is no excuse for being late or getting lost. If you’re not sure, call your party at least an hour ahead of time. Not 15 minutes after you are supposed to pick up.
Secondly, when I booked the job, a week before the event, the sales person took my credit card number and assured me it was for authorization purposes only; to hold the reservation; a reservation that changed prior to the event. My company (a well known company which has been in business for over 50 years) was going to pay them with a check after the event. This limo company charged my personal card for the amount of the original quote, over $1800. The actual final invoice amount was only $800. They received a check from my company for the correct amount. But when I tried to get my personal card credited, they stopped answering phones and emails. At least I learned my lesson never to give out my personal card to an unknown vendor. I eventually had to contact my credit card company and file a dispute to get my money back.
I found out that this is a small company run by a husband and wife team. Mr. Business Owner explained that they were having personal problems with family. I can sympathize! Really, I do. I have a family. But I surely do not bring my personal problems into my business relationships. And if he is going to bring his personal problems into it, then at least communicate! Don’t just shut down your business and think it will be there when you get back.
